to Become a Member of AES |
Membership
in the American Ethnological Society is open to any current
member of the American Anthropological Association. Privileges
of membership include receiving the quarterly publication
American Ethnologist, and eligibility
for elected and appointed offices in the Society. All members
are eligible to cast votes in Society decisions.
Regular membership for one year is $48. Student membership
is $18. Joint membership is $22. Note that this is over
and above the cost for membership in the American Anthropological
Association.

How
to Join the AES E-mail Listserv
AES maintains an email list for announcements of meetings
and other AES-related matters. You are welcome to join the
list at any time. To subscribe, just send an email message
to listserv
@ lists.princeton.edu with the following text
in the body of the message:
subscribe aes your name
Substitute your own first and last name for "your name".
You don't need to put anything at all in the subject line.
The email address from which you send this message will
be the one that is added to the AES mailing list.
After you have been added to the list, you can post messages
to all current list members by sending mail to aes
@ lists.princeton.edu. Only people who are
currently members of the list can send messages to it. All
messages are vetted by a list manager for relevance and
spam, and may take up to 24 hours to be sent out.
